I was about 9 yrs old living in Germany in the army quaters with my family, it was a beautifil summers day and just abourt every family had laid out a paddling pool for their kids under the veranders of the flats we all lived in.
What a brilliant day it turned out to be, we lined all the pools up and about 50 kids took it in turns to run through each one and then ended up on a slip matt at the end.
Our mothers were in their sun bonnets having a tipple and shooting the breeze whilst we played and everyone shared the goodies they were given, that was my greatest memory
