I used to have a monkey. It was the kind you see in India. He was a very difficult pet to take care of. There was no problem with exotic disease transference because he was bornin this country and had appropriate shots. Bringing animals directly from other countries and making them pets is not the greatest idea. You not only have unknown diseases to think of, but, proper temperatures, humidity etc. to be concerned about. Normally, exotic animals aren't domesticated which is another factor to deal with.
