| For a long time I've used a product called Holloway House Lemon Oil. It's used for cleaning and moisterizing wood. I use it on some old pieces we have, maybe twice a year. These pieces of furniture are over 100 years old now, and they look like they were just brought home from the store. That Holloway house oil is great. Lots of old furniture, especially dining sets are veneered. Without care, that veneer will dry and crack. | |

So what do you use on veneers other than polish to stop it from cracking over time ? | |

| The lemon oil isn't a polish. It soaks into wood to keep it from drying out. You can use a polish after using lemon oil to protect the wood from stains. Time is woods enemy, especially if your home is often dry, which most are. | |
