In April 2009, I lost my brother Dean. We still don't know exactly what happened, but there was an accident and someone ran over him and kept going. The cops around here were absolutely no use in finding who did it. They promised us the case would be "cracked" in less than a week...its now 2011 and we haven't heard a thing! Some tell me, its better I don't know. No, I need to know! I want to know who was so thoughtless and uncaring not to stop and see if he was okay. I want to know who didn't take the time to try to save my brother's life! He might have made it had they stopped!
He was one of a kind, absolutely no one like him. He saw good in every person he met. He had friends from EVERY walk of life, and never knew a stranger. He loved the outdoors and our beautiful mountains here (maybe I take that after him).
We lost our mom when I was 14. I thought that was one of the hardest things I have ever had to face, until I lost Dean. THAT is like no pain I have ever felt. I can't comprehend that he is gone. After all this time, I still catch myself thinking he is still here.
He was so excited when he found out I was having Chloe. Our sister and other brother never had kids (Dino is the only one that had children up until I did). He was so excited to finally be an uncle and he never got to meet her.
His best friend died 2 weeks later in a car accident. Our families have gotten together to have a "Celebration of Life" every year around the anniversary of their passing. Its amazing how many people showed up last year for the first one. The types of people who were there was mind boggling. Some practically in full suits, others in a Harley t-shirt and jeans....Dino loved everyone.

aww missy, what a sad but beautiful story hun.
I understand your pain just in a different way is all, you lost your brother through no rhyme or reason and i lost my son the same way, they couldnt tell us what caused him to be so ill and what actually caused his heart to stop beating that day.

I dont understand people who commit crimes such as these, how do they live with that, they must have no concience to keep it in all this time.
No good trying to guess the why's and how's hun, just know that we are right here if you ever need to rant or just talk.
love to you my friend xxx
