Try a dramatic up 'do to show off those cheekbones.

Since Gwyneth Paltrow admitted to squeezing into a pair of Spanx slimming pants before every red carpet affair, the A-list have been flashing their girdles and tummy control briefs with wanton abandon. Well, if pull-in granny pants are good enough for Gwynnie, they're good enough for us!

Go for gold
A tan (fake of course), can make you look instantly slimmer and give your eyes extra sparkle. If you have money to spare, some clever tanning specialists can even spray shading contours to emulate muscle tone without you ever having to step foot in a gym. Otherwise, play it safe and opt for a body moisturiser with self tanner to build up colour gradually.

Bag yourself a slimmer bod
Forget mini clutches and invest in an over-sized grab bag to fill with your beauty essentials. Size matters when it comes to arm candy - the bigger the better (providing you can pick it up and carry it without doing yourself damage, of course). If you're on the short side take care - a beast of a bag will dwarf you.

Add definition to cheekbones and collarbones with a bronzer or blusher slightly darker than your natural skin tone - just don't over do it or you'll look ready for combat.
