My favorite is a guy known as "Uncle Floyd". He did a vaudeville style TV comedy show on a local station in New Jersey. He's my favorite because he did it for the love of it. He didn't get super famous or financially wealthy from it either. A lot of the money it took to do the show came from his own pocket. Here is a video of him playing piano in his famous ragtyme style.
