Kareoke, love it or hate it ?

Are you a kareoke fan, do you still enjoy it is it starting to become a bore ?

My family has had a kareoke system going each new yr since i can remember, it never grew old and everyone took turns, many great times were had, but....

The last couple of years my husband and i found it had become a bit of a chore as we were always looking for reguested songs, trying to film with video and see to all the guests, it just became so exhausting that we were no longer enjoying the night.

So last yr we didnt use it, it was pretty strange and people were a little shocked and lost i suppose, but i had some mixed tunes on and told them to try and remember what it was like to just dance and socialize lol, we managed and the night was still a success just some what quieter.

Im debating what to do about this new year, kareoke or no kareoke ? xxx

Traditions are hard to break cold turkey. When it's once a year people will look forward to it, it becomes special. Would it be possible to have others find music and send it to you. That would ease the problem a bit. I've never done kareoke. I was eating in a mexican restaurant being served by a puerto rican lady listening to cowboy kareoke. I left there confused. I know I live in the so called "Melting Pot", but geesh. I developed a new term from that experience: Kaotic Ambiance. You might just be able to start a new tradition that would be easier to do. Traditions are fun.
