My Skin Care Routine

well im ashamed to say mine has been pretty poor for a while now, i dont put cream on my body unless my skin is overheated or irritated by something.

I have some kind of fungul irratation under my arms and on my inner
thighs that is brought on by the dry heat so this weather whilst the central
heating is on all the time it can get pretty drastic.
For that i use canesten as prescribed by my GP

Haveing delicate or sensitive skin ive always had to be very careful what i use on my skin and to be honest i dont suffer any ills by not using lotions and potions.
Saying that there are so many pretty things about now that ive been tempted to try, different things, such as body butters ect but we shall see.

As for my face and neck, elbows (and everywhere else if need be ) i use my old faithful friend, Oil of Olay and i swear by it.
I can use aloe products too but olay is the daddy for me.

I use facial moisturiser everyday, sometimes a few times a day if i feel its neccessary.
I get up , splash my face with cold water, (i dont use soap of any kind my face) our water makes my face feel really tight so i moisturise right away.

I will moisturise again out of habit before applying any make up, its just part of my routine although im now limiting it to certain areas as my face has become oily these past few months.

when i take my make up off at the end of the day i use baby wipes which also tighten my skin so i moisturise again.

I cleanse and tone once a week as a rule just as a deep clean and it seems to be enough as i very rare get any out breaks of any kind, i try to stick with olay products if i can but i have tried others too.

I think magnifying mirrors should be outlawed! good grief I just looked in one and couldnt put it down quick enough. I have been so good about taking care of my skin and that mirror made me look as if I had never taken a moment of time to care for it.
I have used tons of different moisturizers, some expensive some dirt cheap. I have even used baby oil and olive oil... Forgive me but I am just so disgusted right now.

Not sure this is the place but after reading your first few lines of the above post I wanted to mention something I was told years ago and have been faithful too. Taking a deep breath, ok here goes... I am very top heavy and suffered something awful from rashes under each breasts. At one time they were so bad I needed to use gauze pads under the edge of my bra. I shared my suffering with a coworker and she told me she had same problem. Her doctor told her to use any clear gel antiperspirant on the area. As raw as I was I stopped on my way home and bought a clear gel and applied it. Burned like no tomorrow, but healed in no time. Ever since then I have used only clear gel antiperspirant on all the cracks and crevices and have not suffered a single boo boo. I strongly advice anyone to give this a try

clear gel as in roll on hun ?

im going to show my ignorance now as i really didnt know there was such a thing, but hey if i can find some il be glad to give it a try, thankyou. xxx

Ah sweety, its not the roll on. It is a gel antiperspirant. It comes in a twist up type package much like a solid one. You turn the dial on the container and the gel comes out the top. It is the consistency of ummmmm well like hair gel, setting lotion, that sort of consistency. I truly do swear this does the trick for those tender areas.
