Smacking Children

What are your views on smacking children, both yours or in general ?

Do/did you smack your children ?

Yes only if I have to

I tapped the backs of my kids hands when they were little to get the message across when they showed strong wills, but i can proudly say i never had to smack, slap or otherwise as they went through their teens and beyond.

I was one of those mammies who had a strong personality and the kids didnt really argue too much, but all that aside, i had a good relationship with my kids and learned to sit and listen to both sides xxx

As I said in a previous post I wont be raising my hands to our kids. I don't believe in it.
