Are abortions morally wrong, right or of no real consequence ?

I am torn with this topic as i have issues with both sides but il try to explain the best i can why.

Firstly , id like to say in this day and age there is no need for unwanted pregnancies, ok there are some genuine mistakes im not denying that but....

As far as our young go, contraception is offered in schools from about the age of 14, there are also drop in clinics that they can go to for the morning after pill and condoms and guess what, they are free and they are confidential no matter what your age.

Now im not suggesting thats right by any means but the fact is the help is there and readily available so theres no need for as many teenage pregnacies .

Now for the other side,

Im not here to pass judgement on anyone who feels the need to abort or whom may have aborted in the past, that is not my place to judge, i just want you to know in certain circumstances i might understand the need to abort.
For e.g...

If a woman has been raped and ends up pregnant, or if there is some medical reason why the pregnancy or birth of said child may cause harm to the mother or child.

If a mother finds out that her child is physically or mentally challenged before birth, that too i can understand as a reason to abort.

Now i know most will be suprised to hear me say that seeing how my own son mark was both mentally and physically challened, but i know how hard it is to look after them 24/7 and what it takes to make even the slightest difference, the hurdles you go through and the highs and lows of having people constantly interfering in your life and living under a microscope.

Its not for everyone and i admire anyone who puts there hands up and admits they cant cope, it must be the hardest thing ever, but who are we to judge ?

So i hope you can see why this topic is such a pull for me xxx

I understand what you're talking about. I've never had an issue with abortion. I don't want babies aborted because of immature reasons. I also try to put myself in a childs place. How would I be knowing my parents gave me away because I cramped their style? I'd rather have been aborted.
