Discuss Migraines

If you suffer from migraines, what is the best treatment and what helps eleviate the pain and sickness for you ?

i have migranines all the time and i only take acetophem for it

I too suffer from stress related migraines, i dont take meds to prevent them although i probably should as when it strikes i suffer severe headaches and vomiting for up to seven hours at a go.

I have meds to stop the sickness (Metoclopramide) which are a big help because once the vomiting stops it eases the head aches.

For the migraine pain i use (propain), not that it usually helps as it doesnt stay down long enough to help.

A migraine can knock me out of action for up to 4 days and i wear dark glasses for up to three of them as the headaches linger on after the initial migraine has passed.

Not a pleasent thing to suffer with at all xxx

I doubt mine would be considered migrains, but I have severe headaches periodically. That is about the only time I take a drug. I'll start eating aspirins. Then I just want to be alone until it ceases. Usually will last 1 to 3 hours.
