Identifying and knowing your face shape is the
first step in helping you contour. Shade and highlight your face correctly. Once
you have figured out what face shape you have you will be able to highlight the
areas you love and disguise the areas you don’t.
There are 6 basic face shapes: Heart. Square.
Round. Diamond. Oblong and Oval.
1)
HEART:
A heart shaped face has
a visibly wider forehead and/or cheek area. The jaw area tends to be
narrow
2) SQUARE:A square shaped face
has a hairline that is approximately the same width as the jaw line.
3)
ROUND:A round shaped face is usually as wide as it is long.
People with a round shaped face have a tendency to look
younger.
4)
DIAMOND:A diamond shaped face has a
visibly wider cheek area. The forehead is narrow and has a jawline of
approximately equal widths.
5)
OBLONG:An oblong shaped face is very similar to an oval. An
oblong shaped face has more length and less
width.
6)
OVAL:An oval shaped face is
considered the ideal. The length of the face equals one and a half times the
width.
